I just read a good article that I saw online called ‘5 changes to help you Lose Weight.’ The beginning of this very profound wisdom (yet very simple and basic) shares a brief intro of how a many began to make small changes in order to lose weight.
This desire to find a way to lose weight was ignited by a brief but significant confrontation by his girlfriend. The love of his life basically told him to just stop complaining about it and just do something about it.
That something for this man (Tim Kassouf) that helped him lose 45 pounds started by just simply make small changes in his diet. One of the most significant of these changes he made was to drink water instead of soda, as he was at 10 colas a day at one time-and that equals 1,400 calories.
Another major change was that he ate a 12-ounce bag of Doritos. He put a stop to this as he altered his entire snack routine. What he did was very simple. He just took a handful of Doritos out of the bag and then put the rest away, and that’s all he ate.
After this he made five other significant changes: 1% milk in place of whole milk, half a bagel in place of a whole bagel, chocolate yogurt or Popsicle instead of ice cream, latte with skim milk versus with whole milk, and 20-minute walk versus no exercise at all.
A further explanation about these changes as well as other ones Tim made are also presented in this article. This is brought to you in an attempt to help you feel less overwhelmed about the altering of diet in lifestyle needed to lose weight.
Start out small and work your way up. That is the best advice anyone can give especially for people who try to put unrealistic expectations on themselves.
