Being anorexic requires as much a challenge, dedication and determination as a regular diet does. In fact, it is safer and healthier to invest the effort and the determination in a regular diet plan as it does not pose hazards to the body.   • The easiest and simplest way is to stop eating. However, starvation tends to bring down the metabolic rate in the body. Then once again when you resume eating, you are likely to burn less and more is stored as fat.
  • Drinking loads and loads of water to kill hunger is important.  If you drink water before a meal, you will feel stuffed and therefore choose to eat less. Drinking water during meals also has the same effect.

Chop your food into smaller pieces and eat them slowly one after another and take a sip of a drink or so in between two morsels. This will cause the food to bloat.
  • Avoid sitting idle for long period of time. Always try and keep yourself engaged in some form of activity even it is as simple as doodling or just tapping your feet.
  • Try and avoid eating alone. Sit in front of the television or eat while you are doing something else. This diverts the focus from eating which is good in this case. Eat only when you have to and avoid eating after 7 pm.
